Svarthvítar útgáfur af myndum af fólki sem tengist Fjallabyggð og Fljótum. Þessar myndir eru úr safni mannamynda sem ég hef tekið hér og sumar þeirra eru líka í litmyndasöfnum hér á síðunni.
B&W versions of photos of the people of Siglufjörður, Ólafsfjörður and Fljót – past and present. These images are a part of the portfolio of pictures of the people here in the area and some of them are also in colour portfolios on this side.
Even though I process bigger parts of my photos in colour I can very much agree with what Robert Frank once said:” Black and white are the colors of photography. To me they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is forever subjected.” Peter Lindbergh said “For me, black and white is truer than colour, even if that might seem contradictory.”
Most of the time I initially do my images in colour. Later on some of them come to my mind in black and white, so for me B&W is a longer, often much longer process.
